Members actively involved in the mission and goals of the NASEMBA Business Alliance agree to commit to the following public “contract of trust” with each other and with any Clients:

 

1. To advance the understanding of the mission and goals of NASEMBA, and assist in the growth of our Association by presenting the mission and goals of NASEMBA, its business networking functions and its marketing opportunities by sharing relevant information and benefits of NASEMBA membership with prospective and actual Clients in an effort to identify individuals seeking other Member’s services, excellent customer service, having a desire to own a business, seeking funding to expand a business, better manage an existing business, or having resources that may be mutually beneficial to other NASEMBA Members;

2. To safeguard the reputation and interests of NASEMBA Members at all times, and thereby to inspire the confidence of all Clients and contacts in buying into the mission and goals of NASEMBA and the services provided by its members;

3. Not to enter into any agreement nor carry out any act which could imply or result in liability on the part of other NASEMBA Members, except in the case of Members whose services may be retained via subcontract in which event the liability of such Members for such services shall be clearly set out in writing;

4. Neither to make false claims regarding statistics, qualifications, knowledge and experience nor to make any other form of misrepresentation regarding NASEMBA, its membership base, compensation, or its impact on the small business community;

5. Neither to make unsolicited criticisms of NASEMBA Members of the Association, their products and services, or financial standing, or other aspects of their business, nor knowingly to make unsolicited approaches to other Members’ Clients or prospects to the detriment of those Members, except in the case of widely distributed publicity and marketing materials or unsolicited attendance of a networking event;

6. Neither to make misleading inferences about sales statistics or technological capabilities nor, through omission of qualifying information, intentionally to allow Clients or employees to make such inferences;

7. To give excellent service and to use all reasonable endeavors to provide a high standard of competence, objectivity and integrity in all dealings with prospective Clients, actual Clients and other NASEMBA Members;

8. To safeguard the confidentiality of all information concerning Clients, NASEMBA Members and/or other partners;

9. To actively support the aims and objectives of the Association, to honor all agreements made with Clients and to promptly pay all fees due to other NASEMBA Members as services are rendered in business to business transactions.

10. NASEMBA Members actively involved in the mission and goals of the Association agree to commit to developing a sound reputation for the Association and all its members by upholding high standards of professionalism and business ethics and doing everything humanly possible to operate within the guidelines set forth in the Constitution of NASEMBA.
